Concept:

Design a tablet case that can comfortably be used by in-store employees for ease of use for multiple hours of the day. Must be capable of hands-free operation, and could double as a built-in tablet stand.

Hinge that allows 180° vertical movement & flexibility of stand/support, locking in place to ensure stability.

Adjustable neck strap
provides hands-free operation, sturdiness, and safety.

Original refernece image

Curved stainless steel, with padded foam - ensuring maximum comfort & stability during operation.

Concept:

Design a low-profile phone case with an integrated flip-out stand. Stand must have both landscape & portrait functionality, and be stable enough to reliably withstand the weight of the phone & everyday use.

Strong & lightweight
bamboo material.

Matte black trim

Sleek low-profile design

Small slit for user's
finger to easily & comfortably flip-out stand

Strong nylon string
for stability & flexibility
when pressure is applied. Likewise keeps the stand locked-in place when in use.

Foam cylinder placed at the stand's tip to provide non-slip support and stability.

Product Design for Accessibility

Designing smart, easy to use assitive technology is a mission I am incredibly passionate about. The following shows concept art created for Ceratech Accuratus LTD, using their existing programmable keyboards to create magnetic keyguards that assist users in using common professional programs, both inside and outside the office.

Concept:

Design a magnetically-attached keyguard for a 15-key programmable keyboard. Intended as assistive technology for individuals who require the use of program specific keyboard shortcuts, but struggle with mobility, memory, or visual impairment.

I designed multiple covers for a variety of commonly used applications, each with a total of 28 commonly used pre-programmed commands.
